Legend of Korra Season 2 Episode 1 and 2 Review
Avatar: The Legend of Korra Season 2 is here and I just posted my video review of episodes 1 and 2. Episode 1 was titled “Rebel Spirits” and episode 2 “Southern Lights”. We got to meet more of Korra’s family which includes new cast members Aubrey Plaza from Parks and Recreation and James Remar from Dexter.
I really loved the episodes and I think that I’ve already figured out a significant part of the story. Spoilers – I think that Korra’s uncle Unalaq is behind the appearance of the Dark Spirits and Korra will unwittingly help him take control of the Southern Water Tribe.
Either way we’ll also get to see her spend a lot of time in the Spirit World this season and there’s that whole glowy statue thing at the Airbender Temple with Jinora. I’m expecting her to be a huge part of Korra’s story.
A lot of people are speculating that she’s going to end up dying just because the showrunners Michael Dante DiMartino and Bryan Konietzko really like sad stories.
Next week is another two-part story called Civil Wars. Episodes 5 and 6 will be called beginnings and will be when Korra goes back in time via the Spirit World to learn from Wan the first Avatar (played by Stephen Yeung of The Walking Dead).
